The new fund will tap existing strategies such as security, robotics, digital health, edutainment, environmental impact and infrastructure.
Credit Suisse Asset Management has launched a new fund that will combine the firm’s thematic expertise in one strategy.
The new meta Credit Suisse (Lux) Thematic Opportunities Equity fund will tap themes such as security, robotics, digital health, edutainment, environmental impact and infrastructure.
The strategy will focus on small- and mid-cap companies with innovative products and services that are disrupting industries and challenging traditional leaders.
The fund invests directly in the underlying stocks of the Credit Suisse Asset Management thematic equity strategies and will take the ESG criteria of the Credit Suisse sustainable investing framework into account.
The subscription period will run from 1 February until the official launch on 25 February.
Citywire + rated Angus Muirhead, head of thematic equities at Credit Suisse Asset Management, said the fund will appeal to investors seeking exposure to a broad spectrum of themes: ‘All of our high-conviction themes are based on robust long-term secular growth trends.’
‘Our deep-dive research and close contact with experts from industry and academia allow us to identify attractive investment opportunities, while the portfolio’s diversity across stocks, sectors, and countries should also reduce volatility,’ he added.
